fark, it wont be as funny reading it as described by me, but here goes anyway. try soulseek or something if you want to hear the original, its worth it. hank gets this letter from a fan who's in a tether - he works as a hospital attendant, anyway, he encounters this naked unconscious girl who's an absolute stunner. so he ponders what to do, and what the hell, kisses her & fondles her & shit, but on the way back to the hospital she dies. but this fulla's fallen in love with her, and so, obviously, he writes to hank! hank deliberates about how to reply to this sicko, who's in a bit of a state, and ends up telling him its okay, dont do anything stupid, you'll get over it, etc. he tells tom waits this tale backstage, who promptly replies, "no, you handled it ALL wrong - i would have said...Forget her! Forget her! she's haunting you from the grave! shes a heartbreaker! she did the same thing to me! shell do it every time!!" yes, well, i spose you really have to hear it

that's interesting! at the moment i'm doing a couple of courses - the Pagan Religions of Ancient Greece & Rome, and The Age of the Vikings. It is intriguing to examine the early years of Ireland to see the different way in which they adopted Christianity as opposed to the English, and how their society was thus affected by this. When the Vikings appeared, the situation in Ireland was a vastly differing one to that in england, one that was much less suitable to wholesale settlement....
I'm also researching the Eleusinian Mysteries, which were wiped out by the early Christian barbarians after 2000 years of annual practice.
do you recommend that book?

erm... it somewhat misses the mark in that it's only 112pgs and tries to fit a lot in. it also assumes a lot of knowledge which i just don't have.
it does look at it with a strong sense of tribalism thoughand rewmarks on how 'green' celtic xianity is as opposed to the corrupt perversions of the west.
i read the following short essays on the train today:
John Pilger - Bush's Vietnam Naomi Klein - An American Hero? Leo Tolstoy - Address to the 18th International Peace Congress 1909 Tom Gray - Tribalistic Christianity Nekeisha Alexis-Manners - Pacifism: Living the Impractical Nekeisha Alexis-Manners - What If...? Gabriel Guerrero - Christianity and the Death Penalty

What The Bible Says About Homosexuality (www.religioustoleramnce.org/hom_bibl.htm)
looks at both sides of the argument, though has a liberal leaning.
