I'm waiting for the next book in his fantasy series, so I decided to go back and read his sci-fi series 'A Requiem for Homo Sapiens'. At the moment it's The Broken God, David Zindell is the author, by the way. And he is a bit of a freak. Can be heavy going at times, but if you want to read something that really makes your head spin, pick up a Zindell book.

my wife and kids love the narnia chronicles, so i'm gonna have to get into that also - after LOTR i suspect (one grand adventure at a time...) we have the lion, witch wardrobe video - very english. and yes, there is something about a silver chair - though the newcastle lads say they got their name from combining a you am i song with a nirvana tune.

I loved the Narnia Chronicles The Silver Chair is actually the prequel to the LIon, the Witch & the Wardrobe. I must have read The whole series at least 5 times as a kid.... A clockwork Orange was a HEAPS better book than it was a movie. Am I the only person who thinks Kubrick's 'genius' is overrated? I dont think there was one of his movies that was as good as it was made out to be. Full Metal Jacket will always hold a high spot, but even that fell down in places.
