POD PEOPLE
'Doom Saloon' is out now in Australia.Described in Kerrang as 'a complete and utter monster of chugging colossal metal' the
ultra heavy sounds on this record have floored many and the artwork is also something very special.The debut full length effort
from the Canberra five piece has drawn comparison's to Black Sabbath, Cathedral and Entombed to name just a few.The
album will be released in Europe/UK & Japan on the Rise Above label later in 2002.The special cross style artwork is limited
to the first 1000 copies (of the high beam version) so make sure you get your's now, they are going quick.The release will be

VOLUME
Californian trio Volume describe their music best as heavy acid rock, drawing inspiration from a time when rock n roll was truly
experimental and free.Their debut ep 'Requesting Permission To Land' is just about to be unleashed.Influential website Hell
Ride described the album as 'more Wayne Kramer than Wayne Kramer' so it is sure to win over retro rock n roll fan's around

SHAMEN'S RIDE
'Roll Out The Red' is not just getting some great reviews here in Australia but interest is building on the Sydney four piece in the
US with some radio air play there.We will soon be able to announce details for the North American release of the new album
which will hopefully see the band head to the states next year.In the meantime they hit Victoria later in August and will continue
to do a bunch of shows around NSW.'Roll Out The Red' is out now.

MONSTROUS BLUES
Wollongong's favourite fuzz rocker's are back with a new album set for release in October but before then they hit the road for
shows in NSW and VIC.First up they head south for shows in Warrnambool and Melbourne on August 9th and 10th before
they then hit the road with Legends Of Motorsport in late August and Budd in mid September.For details check out their new

NUNCHUKKA SUPERFLY
August 26th finally sees the Europe/UK release of the band's album 'There Are No Accident's...' on Swedish label Lunasound
Recordings ( www.lunasoundrecording.com ).Already UK's metal bible Kerrang have given the album the thumb's up with a
rave 4K review and anticipation of the release is very high.On the home front the band return to the live scene with their new
drummer to play at the Corner Hotel on Saturday August 10th as part of a PBS FM benefit show alongside the Cosmic
Psycho's, Dreadnaught, Monstrous Blues and many more.

JED WHITEY
After leaving a huge impression on east coast crowds with their blistering live performances in April plans are now under way
for the band to get back over east for bunch of shows in October to coincide with the second single release from their album
'Mongoloid Cagematch'.Their high energy rock n roll sounds which have drawn comparisons to everyone from the
Hellacopters and Fu Manchu through to KISS, AC/DC and Rose Tatto are also creating interest abroad with a Europe /UK

LOG
The crazy Canberra six piece that we know and love as LOG are set to hit the studio's isoon to record the follow up to their
successful debut '10 Songs Of Log'.Be prepared for an early 2003 blast of brutal sludge/blues/rock/punk/noise mayhem.You'll
be able to catch a few live shows from the band here and there over the remaining months of 2002.

EL SANCHEZ
El Sanchez was born amongst the waves of the Thirroul surf and the buzz on this trio is building rapidly in the lead up to their
debut ep release.Produced by ARIA award winning engineer Jonathan Burnside (Melvins, Faith No More, Grinspoon) 'If you
Don't Like It..........Split!' is five tracks of spicy, mouth watering delights.With October set down as the release date the band
are about to take their unique brand of burrito rock on the road and introduce unsuspecting audiences to the impossible to
ignore brand of music that they play and in the process remind audiences why live music will never die.
Mexicana, Low Riding, Cowbell Chiming, Fuzz, Groove.

FUGG
They've been a bit quite of late but they are set to return.Fugg are heading back to the studio to record the long awaited
follow-up to 'Art Brut', tentatively titled 'No Left Turn Unstoned'. This release promises to be more Rock, more Psychedelic,
More Pop, More Punk, and more Fugg than anything they've recorded previously.


HEE HAW
Hee Haw have fast gained a reputation for unique and mesmerising live shows veering from eerie and hypnotic moodiness and
transforming into white noise violence in an unpredictable and dynamic manner.Now finally you will get to hear all the chaos on
disc for the first time.September sees the release of their debut ep 'How To Pay Your Debts When You're a Genius', the band
will also be taking their nightmare vision on the road and show the unsuspecting punters what a live show is meant to be so stay
tuned for details.

SHIFTER
Are you sick and tired of hearing about 'the future of rock n roll' ?
Well Shifter are here to save you by reminding you about how rock n roll really sounds.The Wollongong four piece take on
board healthy doses of The Stooges, MC5 and Radio Birdman and deliver them in a raw, brutal and energetic fashion.The
result is the band's debut five track ep which is set for release in September.The band also have a track (not on the ep) featured
on a new US compilation called 'A Fistful Of Rock n Roll' alongside band's such as The Hellacopters and New Bomb
Turks.Catch the band on the road in Australia in the later months of 2002.

SH'MANTRA
Sydney's best kept secret already have an established and loyal fan base in Europe and the USA on the back of two
independent releases.For the first time we are making the incredible sounds of Sh'mantra officially available in Australia.Their
recent release 'Formula Orange' will be released on High Beam in late August.Describing the band's sound is near impossible
but reviews have compared it to everything from modern post rock favourites such as Radiohead, Mogwai and Godspeed You
Black Emporer to the prog/psch sounds of Pink Floyd, King Crimson and Tangerine Dream.The best bet is just listen and
decide for yourself.

THUMLOCK
With the band on an indefinite break rave reviews are still flooding in for their latest album 'Sojourns Lucid Magic'.Look out for
the opening track from the CD 'Modulator' to be featured on 'Desert Rock Avengers', a new compilation being released on
CD and vinyl by Germany's People Like You Records.

DRAGONAUTA
After the recording of 'Luciferatu', Dragonauta recruited new guitarist Hernan Espejo (ex member of Vrede) as a way to
increase the heaviness and enter into a deeper double sg voyage. He was the one who worked with the band in the recordings
playing all the FX of the album.'Luciferatu' looks set to be released in October/November 2002.

WRENCH
Despite all your concerns that Adelaide's favourite rockers may have disappeared never to be seen again, they do still live.In
fact they are putting the finishing touches on the follow up to their last album 'Oscillator Blues'.They also are set to return to the
live scene in October after and absense of more than a year and a half.The new full length which was recorded by Matt
Maddock will be released late 2002/early 2003.
