The Town Hall only has a vocal p.a if you got 30-40 people in there the joint is packed have you been there before spectator or herstrut? very very fucking small place.... but goes off whenever there is a good band does any-one that's been there agree with me....

.nah never been there but I have a vibe on the sort of size place you mean. I reckon that would be fucking cool, vocal P.A. in front of even a few people is still better than jamming in a rehearsal space

I'm the sort of crazy idiot who will be at every show. It can't cost much and I always say I can't get enough of these guys so I might as well test that theory. The extra guitar should be pretty cool, but I hope he gets into it as much as the rest of the band. And hey, they beat Kylie with 7 shows, so I reckon it's a great idea. Oh, and they may not have a massive back catalogue with Todd on guitar, but after playing for as long as these guys have been, they must have a fairly substantial choice of tunes for each night.

todd gets into the moves thing - looks like they trained him well the shows are all free too - i dont think they are having bands support them either, just guest DJ's each night. havent been to the town hall either, just the tote. that was pretty nice and grungey and the ladies toilets are divine...................

The Town Hall is actually like the Tote, just lots lots smaller, they also have great food, a shit load of rock memorabelia, a nazi fire place (has weird swastikas all over the wood), and free saki at sumo Wednesdays. anybody who don't know what I am talking about with the saki thing you have to go to understand. But yeah its owned by a really cool guy who loves the rock (despite getting regular noise complaints and fines) and is always willing to give new bands a go, you don't get paid much because it costs nothing to get in but with an endless writer (almost) thats enough for me. Does anyone else think that Jeb and Highbeam should organise a big party where we can all catch up? I can just imagine it now, all these computer nerds (picture that nerdy science guy off simpsons) sipping red cordial arguing over which stoner band is the best what with the music and the sound and the hey hey. Actually everybody stay where you are!

Slatts we should be doing a showcase type thing in Melbourne in October so will be a good chance to catch up with a lot of others here then, I just realised I haven't met that many of you people on here.
Anyway the line up should be something like Legends, Pod People, Wrench, Jed Whitey, Monstrous Blues and a few more. Will keep you all informed.

:DYeah that's some funny shit... "Yeah the 67 Gibson SG definitely has more sustain than the 68 Firebird... unless you're talking about the half year re-issue that came out at the end of the year before 67, but of course you know that neither of them are going to give you tone unless you use the Marshall JCM 900 speakers with the JCM 800 valvestate head!" "Anyway can I get you a drink?" Jeb I'll be there!! And of course should you need any piddly little supports.... say no more, nudge, nudge, wink, wink

Yeah Maxi the Town Hall is an awesome little pub. We played there last year sometime, we were supposed to be playing with - don't laugh - From the Inside, but they pulled out the day of the gig so we ended up jamming for about 45 minutes and playing 5 songs or something, got blind, stuffed around, and had an absolute ball.
All we could fit on the stage was our drummer and our amps, with a bass/guitar amp stack to save space. Not that it's much of a stage, more like a bump in the floor.
They clear out the tables and chairs from the restaurant bit at about 9 or something and the band sets up. It's a cool little venue.
And yeah Jeb, me too, if you need a bunch of wannabe hacks, look no further.

Maxi - Wrench should be back playing live in October, might see if they can drop into Warrnambool on the way to Melbourne.
Slatts/Adam - Yeah you guys can play, we need a few more Melbourne bands for the show/s.
What venue would you guys suggest, I'm not sure if it will be one big show or done over two nights.

If it's gonna be over two nights, I reckon the tote for both or one at the Tote and one at the Arthouse. For one big night though, I'd go for the Espy Gershwin or the Corner, if possible. The Espy Gershwin would be good, cause it would bring me back to the stonerphonic days. Did I mention that I thought that stonerphonic tour was pretty cool?

See if you can get Pillow on that gig too Jeb - theyll fire things up nicely. Heath is a crazyman. Tote would be a great place for that gig.
I'll be going to one or two of the Warped shows, specially the one with Legends on Wednesday (i think). Couldnt do all 7. besides being godamn deaf at the end of the week I just dont reckon they could keep that energy level/vibe going 7 nights in a row - waddaya's reckon?
