greg is not a hoax as he was here and I watched him post that message.
shouldnt is also definitely a member of the band so there you go, there is conflicting information.
As shouldnt said Greg left the band a few weeks back and it was said at that stage Thumlock were on an indefinite break with a chance of doing something down the track, but with one member out, the band wouldn't continue as Thumlock.As I said above all members are currently working on other prjects like shouldnt and greg both mentioned.
I'm not sure of what has been said between members in the last week or so about what is happening in the future but I think we can now say going on shouldnt's post that Thumlock is over.
I'll try to get an official statement asap.

 , Yeah it's not good news and certainly no big secret in "The Gong" but being friends with all parties involved I think we can safely say that there will be 2 killer bands coming out of this. I already know for a fact that El Sanchez have the goods having seen them in action a couple of times now so you should definitely check them out as they fucking rock at high volume, and I know that the new dude on the stool in the Thumlock camp is a monster who has been away a long time so this "new" renamed venture wont dissapoint. Hey at least there is room for a reformation tour if fans of "The Lock" scream loud enough. Just let a bit more water pass under that proverbial bridge and make sure you check out El Sanchez and keep your eyes open for Newlock (Don't even think about it this is my little joke!!!)

Hey Greg! If that is you?? I would have come seen El Sanchez last Friday night up here in Brisbane if you guys hadn't pulled out at the last minute you bastards!  Nah seriously everyone that I spoke to on Friday night were dissapointed that El Sanchez didn't come up for the Filler cd launch at the B-Lounge. Intercooler were very rockin' and everyone was gettin' into Son of a Bitch (Brisbane Kyuss tribute band with Lars from Greensteam on guitar). As for Thumlock hmmm....  Ah I guess only good will come of it! |

Man I ALWAYS get out and support the local scene and my mates, so DON'T go giving me shit about that!! I still went to the Filler Cd Launch regardless of whether El Sanchez was there or not! Shouldn't post that shit in the mail though cause "THEY KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE!!!"...I'm not asking anyone to beg Thumlock to re-unite it's just advice for despairing fans, I'm over it their discs are timeless, El Sanchez are fucking unreal, and the new band will cook for sure. Look F_Rock I'm not here to cause trouble (Unless it's fun) but if your a Sludge man now (or were you always) I can highly recomend 3D HOUSE OF BEEF, Alex Newport produced it. Say no more...There's an MP3 on the www.Lunasound.com website and it is available in the Highbeam Online store. Very fucking cool!!!... ;D .

, So all is cool again, glad we sorted that out. I prefer my anonymity FGM. Maybe you'll work out what band I'm in and maybe you wont. I have about 5-6 names I go under and I actually become a different person when under the spell of each of them, split personality or some shit (I'm seeing a counsellor about it). I've mentioned my band once or twice, I usually plug other bands that I dig hoping people will discover my band for themselves. We are capable of the big riff rock but find comfort in darkness, silence and walls of ear-splitting feedback. We should get up your way eventually when the disc comes out but for now keep your eyes open, pick up what you like and perhaps you will discover us for yourself. The biggest comment I hear at our shows is "I don't know what the fuck that shit was all about but I like it" Hopefully El Sanchez will get up there as well at some point, have patience Greg is right you wony be disappointed.
