VOLUME
Taking their queue from Monster Magnet, Blue Cheer, The Stooges & Hawkwind among others, VOLUME describe their music best as heavy acid rock, drawing inspiration from a time when rock n' roll was truly experimental and free.The end result of this potent blend can be heard within 'Requesting Permission To Land', the band's debut CD release which is a five track, 34 minute, psychedelic, fuzzfest freakout.The ep is the follow up to their critically acclaimed 7" of 1998.The band play this year’s Stoner Hands Of Doom Festival in November.
'Requesting Permission To Land' is out now on High Beam.
The ep will be released later in the year in North America on Madroad Records.

LEGENDS OF MOTORSPORT
Times are busy for Melbourne’s LEGENDS OF MOTORSPORT, having just wrapped up their tour of SA, VIC, NSW and QLD in support of their ep release ‘Beef With Cheese’ they now head to their original home of Tasmania in September.The band have been getting rave reviews of their live show and great reviews of the ep have been flowing in, the ep has also reached as high as number 3 on the Australian Independent Record Labels sales chart.If you want to catch one of Australia’s most exciting rock n roll band’s in September they play the following shows :

SHIFTER
From one great rock n roll band to another, SHIFTER’s new ep which is set for release in October was described by leading Australian rock journalist, Murray Engleheart as ‘it’s gonna set ears on end with it’s wild Stooges and dirty era Stones raunch attack’.The five track release hit’s the stores on Monday October 21st and will be available a little earlier on-line.The band will hit the road in Australia around the release date of the ep and will continue to play plenty of shows over the Australian summer.International releases of the ep are currently in the pipeline, we’ll let you know more details of these when we know more.If you haven’t heard the mighty sounds of SHIFTER yet, make sure you download their mp3 of the track ‘Funnel’ at :
