The Awesome Machine vs Duster 69 is out in all good record stores on Monday November 4 through MGM.
Here is a portion of a cool review by RobWrong that I read the other day on stonerrock.com:
THE AWESOME MACHINE: "Psychedelic classic rock riffs and melodic vocals... There are plenty of decent hooks on The Awesome Machine's side and the bass heavy tones are very interesting."
DUSTER 69: "High energy riffs with thick blues based desert drenched grooves, tuned down strings and thick overdriven tones. Vocals are very rock and roll and right in front, melodic and over the top."
Kevin has also written a cool review for this disc and posted it in the reviews section. Check it out. ;D

Ahh...the ever-pressing topic of what exactly defines the genre stoner rock? I think this is best left alone maxi. You could go on forever chasing yourself in circles trying to define what constitutes the musical genre that we all know so well as stoner rock.
As far as I am concerned the term stoner rock just provides a quick and easy reference point for the media. I mean stoner rock is about bass heavy rockin' grooves, more often than not downtuned guitars and heavy drums. You are never going to avoid being labelled one thing or another if you are in a band...
Happy birthday fleshpeddler ;D

. From now on I wish the genre of music that I play to be known as "Good thanks and how are you?"

Thanks muchly FGM and BAZ, what better way to spend my burpday than play a rockin gig at the Nash in geelong? As for the defining of a genre, I think I'll leave it alone...pretty much what FGM said. ;D
