hey all thought this would be a good a place as any to look for the following for a new band I am putting together:
Drummer - would lie stylistically somewhere between Mike Bordin (for that jungle toms type thing he gets goin so well), Peter Kostic (just cos hes fuckin ace) and Steve O'Brien (for the garage groove type stuff). Ya don't have to be a virtuoso, just be into that type of drumming ;D
I am also after a bassplayer, and possibly another guitarist too (as I am playing one gtr already). Bands/stuff you'd be into: Faith No More Angel Dust album, Cosmic Psychos, Melvins, Powdermonkeys, Tumbleweed, and most of the stuff that gets mentioned around this site. The mindset is open on this one.
Doesn't matter male or female. Age: well i am mid twenties, if that helps. I don't care how old you are, just as long as you can play. Based in Melbourne, northern suburbs (i am in coburg).
The sound I am going for would be described as Cosmic Psychos meets 70's space rock meets a bit of "emo" (couldn't avoid that label now could I? Managed to avoid saying "stoner"......duh....). On speed, plus beef.
Oh yes and if you are capable of singing then I might need you too as I can't sing real well.
The usual band shite applies, no dickheads, own gear, transport would be a definite advantage etc etc....i am sure you all know the drill.......
