Brisbane has been getting smashed by huge storms every afternoon for the past week. Yesterday it was one of the worst electrical storms i've ever seen. Frequently hitting trees right behind my house. We lost power for 20 hours.
Today while driving home my new car we get hit by another storm complete with a mini tornado. We decided to shelter at a servo after a tree flew in front of the car, then a car's boot lid got ripped off and flew off into the air.
anyway theres my rant for the day

I saw that on the news, looked pretty full on.
We had some floods down here as shiftkicker mentioned, I was crook and managed to sleep through the whole thing (apparently those dreams of people swimming past my windows weren't dreams after all), then woke up the next day to see cars being lifted onto trucks, water pissing out of their exhaust. Some poor bastard had a 3 hour old car completely written off.
