yeah these guys are da bomb! (that's what kids say nowadays, yeah?)
as you may have noted i've recently boosted my cd collection somewhat, but between cd spins i've been popping these mp3s on. The Tusk ones aren't that great... but the Pelican/HydraHead site offers 3 mp3s all up... and yeah they rock!
I can hear the Neurosis comparison but i do think it's a bit of a stretch... Pelican are far more structured. I'd use Color Haze and Trouble as reference points, maybe with a bit of Iron Monkey....
they're a grower.... maybe someone i should look into further....
