well there was quite a few at this gig, definitely good to see that people are recognising and supporting bands that sound f*cking great Timid Joe were the usual selves but they do seem to be getting better at the intersong banter thing - there must be a tafe course or something for it, I dunno, anyways they were good and I am sure they played many songs off their new disc but without a copy we wouldn't know now would we Legends took to the stage with laconic "Hello Fitzroy" from Richard Fyshwyck and a lot of dribble from Benny....no seriously, the man can dribble with the best of them. Curious to see how the Agman went behind the kit and he really was a powerhouse, belting the crap out of it and getting stuck right in. The legends played through most of their "beef with cheese" ep, with the exception of RX7, and plus some older stuff like Sharon's 18th and beanie and I do believe two or three new tunes?? the newer ones sounded like the new drummer has given them a new lease on life (not that the old one was crap or anything) and with a fro like that its hard not to smile and have a great time obviously Ended in the usual fashion of floor oriented tomfoolery and more dribbling. sufficient demand for a quick encore was heard and they ducked back on, after Ken found his sunnies again and after a version of "Smile" that was it. Good time had by all, great venue too for those that haven't been there yet its recommended to check out!
