Seeing as this section of the discussion room mysteriously disappeared a while back I thought I'd try to start it again beginning with Log at Headlands on Saturday night with a host of other bands.
First up were The Strangers playing their first gig, the band features Lenny from Tumbleweed along with members of Fugg, Mudlungs & Shifter (all long running Wollongong bands). They play garage rock, you can still hear similarities with Tumbleweed (more so later day Tumbleweed) but with two drummers and a sax player things get quite interesting.
Rockafella were next up and they were playing their second ever gig and with the exception of a few small rough parts they went really well, they play high octane rock n roll (ie. Hives, Hellacopters, ect.) and have a crazy singer who rivals Brett from Warped in the crazy on stage (and off stage) antics.Definitely a band to watch.
Cod Peace were next and to metal for my liking.
Mutton play tongue in cheek, trashy punk rock and continue to get better with each show.
The main attraction for the night was Log and without being to biased these guys played an amazing set that put it up in the top 5 band's I have seen this year.Log are hard to describe so just go out and see them when you get the chance.

Now that I've heard '10 Songs,' I really wish I could see these guys. I reckon they'd slay! ;D
