Went to the Espy last Friday and saw a bloody great AIC tribute band. All members of other bands (I assume), however the only one I knew of was Scott James Smith, the singer from Bob Sledge, and man that guy can sing! They played for about an hour and a half, including just about all the songs off Dirt (which pleased me) and even some of their acoustic stuff, pretty well nailing all of them. Topped it off with a brilliant rendition of 'Would?', which I've been hanging to hear played live for a long time. Don't know if these guys will ever play again but with Layne Staley's death it's probably as close as we'll ever get to hearing the tunes again.
