my personal faves are:
"Shhh, rich people sleeping" - on an underpass in Clifton Hill
"Your taxes buys my drugs" - on a wall in Brunswick
"Time wounds all heels" - recently disappeared from the Northcote wall where it was for years and years
and the ever popular "Love your tummie" which was on an overpass on freeway in Wollongong
anyone else got a personal favourite?

yeah i saw that 'love your tummie' a few years back.... twas good.
there's been a recent spate of grafitti attacks around the nth gong/tafe/uni area which are less grafitti-based and more design based.... i guess. they appeared around the time of the war on iraq and one of them is a pic of young girl blowing a dandelion.... a picture is worth a thousand words.
also under the nth gong station bridge there's a gamut of pasted print-outs of peaceful quotes from Gandhi, MLK, Christ, Buddha, et al....
i like subtle subversity.

Come here every week at 7:30 to see (drunkeness made the name slip away) play their 45 minute version of Hazy Shade of Winter for the masses...

I love it when I see funny graffiti, I'm a fan of it!Especially any which the meaning can't be determined. Where I used to live , on a wall of a shop's parking spot, was spraypainted:- "I kissed the stars and they burned my lips." And a couple of very old pieces of graffiti which are still there today (Somewhere in or around the Clifton Hill and Thornbury areas):- "The axe is back" (Whatever that means) :-"Cops bash give the kids a go." :-"If you don't eat you can't shit if you can't shit you will die" (The last word in faded orange, others are black) At an alley near where I used to live (in white house paint):-"I love painting" (No longer there) :-"Fuck off '85 and bring back '84" (I still remember that one) On a billboard (No longer there):- "Gothic farmyard lives" (Whatever the hell that means, I don't know-which is why I found it funny.) On a poster saying:-"Guitar lesson's" someone circlied the apostrophe and wrote:-"How about some lessons in English?" In a public toilet at a rest stop somewhere up the Calder(?) Highway saying something like:-"Any of you young blokes 18-35 like a mature lady like my wife (then described her statistics) write your name and number below." (of about ten lines below it to sign one's name, no-one replied) At Preston Tafe (I don't know if it's still there) On the front of a door was written the word "GENTS" and when I opened it, behind it was not the toilets but the exit staircase. I couldn't believe I was fooled and laughed on the way to class and during it! I'll let you know of other goodies if I see any. Cheers! 4th/March/2005.

I don't know if it's still there, but I think it is, another very old piece of graffiti spelt something like:-"Beanz meanz fartz."
