I'll start by saying that this song would definitely have been my pick for a single of the album In A New Light. Its one of those darn catchy tunes that you cant seem to get out of your head.....
A riff, complete with downstroked open chords and the simplicity reminicent of something Malcolm Young would play, starts this single. It launches straight into the vocals early which sound anything but Bon Scott, more like Dickie Peterson from Blue Cheer. The line which I can't seem to get out of my head - "a bottle of pills gonna cure my ills" drives the chorus with more dirty sounding open chords. I dig this song!!
The first b-side 'Cruisin' sounds a little more radio friendly. A bit more ambient and less aggressive. Kind of melodic It does'nt really sound like anything of the album.
Second b-side is 'Shutdown'. I remember this song from Fortes live shows and why it is not on the album I dont know. A great song to break shit to!
