I have never been a fan of the Melvins and by the look of it, no one in the crowd was either. The 2-3 more upbeat rocky songs that they played got a few people in the crowd moving. But otherwise most people seemed rather bored with their slow almost random sounding noise. Sorry melvins fans, there sound was good but i and no one i saw got into them.
Now for tool, it was a good solid typical tool concert. Im sure it was the same setup as their US tour. Two huge projection screens and a smaller one next to the drumkit which maynard stood in front of all night.
They broke in the middle to play i gather it was the film clip to parabol and parabola. After which a naked guy and girl hung upside down from cables in front of the projection screens and made their own little tool video during a song or two.
Tools sound was great as usual but i dont think the show as a whole was as powerful as the aenima tour.
Danny on the drums seemed to play everything so effortlessly, quite amazing. Maynards singing was very solid compared to the perfect circle tour a few years ago. Both Adam and Justins guitar sound was great too.
Highlight songs in my opinion: The Grudge, Lateralus, Sober, Opiate, Stinkfist, Reflection, Triad.
They opened with Flood and ended with Lateralus.
All in all, not bad, bit boring at times, some good songs. Good concert but not as good as the Aenima tour.

This sounds almost exactly the same as the tour they did last year. ...............Except for the naked dangling! To take a Late show quote: "What's all that about?"
