I saw these guys a few years ago in Brisbane, didn't even know they were still going.I can't remember what they were like though.

I know it is said time and time again, but the vocalist sounds sorta like Garcia. Fulcrum also used to share a drummer with Giants Of Science, but I believe they have recently found a new drummer. Owen on guitar uses a host of pedals with frequent injections of wah wah fueled leads.
They also play a couple of lengthy jammy styled songs with single note guitar lines with a lot of heavy delay. I guess they are kinda verging on Thumlock territory in that respect.
I haven't seen 'em play a gig in a while. They are usually pretty few and far between but I think that they are playing at a 4ZzZ gig which is on at the Gabba Hotel February 1.

Yeah I sort of remember them now (jogged my memory when you mentioned steve was in the band), I think I only saw them play one or two songs though and that was a few years ago, I have a demo here somewhere I think, will have to dig it out.

Double Chamber have two guitarist Writhe and their bassist plays a five string bass. The two guitarits and the bassist all share the vocal duties.
Fulcrum have only played about one time since supporting Nebula at the Zoo.

Uum I am catching up with the guys on Saturday night Herstrut so I will find out whether you can get a hold of some of their songs. I actually don't even have a copy of the disc myself. I have just seen 'em live a bunch of times. Fulcrum are also a favourite of The Rev. Stone from 4ZzZ Radio Station so he give them regular airplay!
The Thumlock reference was sorta only in reference to the more jammy songs that make heavy use of delayed single note guitar lines.
The singer has a real raspy gutsy voice which is very similar to the vocal stylings of John Garcia when he sings in Unida.

Did you go Blackhashish? I was intending to go but I went to a bar-b-q at a friend's house before hand and had too much to drink so I couldn't drive! Ahh well.....I'll catch up with Budd soon. They are playing a date soon at the Jubilee Hotel with Undertoe!
