This from Dr.Benway, Tertangala... "Hee Haw were more brutal in their approach. They grabbed me by the throat, threw me off a cliff, ground me into the rocks at the bottom, and then forced me to examine what it all meant. The sardonic, mocking vocals of Lax Charisma began many songs almost imperceptibly softly and gathered tension brilliantly, building towards psychotic screaming choruses. At times the band were almost playful - teasing the audience with Bungle-ish diminished chords which rang clearly - but they were never frivolous. To break the sophisticated, controlled madness which was their staple (a la Tom Waits or anything with Mike Patton in it), they gave us some uncomplicated "four on the floor" rock beats, making sure the audience didn't go permanently insane.... Wow! didn't even have to pay this guy or threaten to eat his children (although I may do that anyway) If you're out there Dr.Benway don't be shy I owe you a drink big time. Cheers, Thanks and all of that ;D

That's the sweetest thing anybody has ever said to me F_Rock. Glad to hear that we will feel welcome when we get down your way. We were really very disappointed when we couldn't come down last time so when the cd comes out we will be there at some point for sure. Have you checked out the MP3 of "Famous Last Words" at all? Curious of your opinion. The Oxford show that Dr. Benway (your beer is getting warm dude) reviewed was actually with Nunchukka Superfly. We have a different sound to Hee Haw but out of all the other Highbeam bands we are ptobably a little closer to them than most. I read elsewhere that your pretty into them so maybe you'll dig us as well, depends if you appreciate walls of feedback. I fucking love it. Well hope to see you down your way soon.

Yeh Lax, been listening to that mp3 - am again now and liking what I'm hearing. Really looking forward to the noisy, feedbacky, crazy live version that I'm sure you'll bring me down here. Oh, and if you bring Nunchukka with you I will do my best to throw up on the stage in appreciation. Get down here quick, and bring some EPs.

...hey F_Rock, we are mastering our EP this Friday and then it is done. We are apparently coming to Melbourne early December for Highbeam Volume. 1 showcase shows. I will give more definite information closer to the dates just in case but I'm pretty sure we are coming this time. For the rest of you in the NSW Sydney/Wollongong region we are playing
Saturday 19th October@ Club77 "Dracfest 2" w/ Zeitgeist, World Inc, Storm and Serenity and Ikon
Saturday 26th October@ The Oxford Tavern w/ Traces Of Nut and Dropping Honey. We are on early at 9PM...
...unfortunately the Nick Cave/Birthday Party tribute show scheduled for October 31st has been cancelled.
"How To Pay Your Debts When You're a Genius" should be out in November. Till next time....
