...well I managed to miss the Bracode and Baby Machine gig at the Unibar but I guess you can't have everything. The other two bands that Fugg played with were not really my thing at all A Band Called Jill were total "Radio Friendly Unit Shifting Crap"...as were Guernicca who seemed to play the one song repeatedly over the set Fugg always play the strangest bills, I guess that is because no-one really knows where they fit in. Tonight they came on like a punk band playing new romantic covers, and actually they did do a cover of Flock of Seagulls "I Ran"as well as The Go-Go's and Beachboys. They played a couple of songs off their last release "Art Brut" such as "Are The Arts Cool", "Friend" even played "Distortion Saved My Teenage Ass" off "Fugg Drucked"... Why they were wearing red braces and how the floor ended up covered in wedding cake and glitter I don't know it seems to happen a lot at Fugg gigs. Went really well considering the Bat and Ball is usually pretty dead. Fugg managed to win the crowd over who didn't appear to be there to see them but soon got into it and left brandishing their copies of "Art Brut" not a bad night overall...
