Got there in time to see Silo.....they were OK 3 piece with 2 girls out front and a fairly lame drummer in back.
Kinda sounded like early Magic Dirt which wasn't a bad thing. Hopefully they'll get better as time goes on.
Sahara up next.....4 Pop/rock chicks from the land of Ikea. If you've heard them on Triple Joke you know the deal. They were pretty impressive though. A lot tougher sounding live and finally a girl drummer that bashes with the best of them. The Metro was very full by now(and ended up being way oversold i'm sure because it was a mission to move anywhere) they went over pretty good.
The Datsuns.......hmmmm heard good things but i wasn't sure what to expect. After about 5 songs i managed to pick me jaw up off the ground they were that good. A more metal version of the Hellacopters was how it came across live, incredibly tight and entertaining
with added Cheap Trick covers.........i'm sold!!!
