Anyone see the news last night, with the disgusting display of mutual adoration between Bush and Howard? Little Johnny got to fly in Air Force One, whoop-de-fucking-do. And now this upcoming Free Trade agreement...and all we had to do was take part in an illegal, unnecessary war and show our support for a dangerous new doctrine of "pre-emptive strikes"...
Nice to know that our leaders put our economic interests above ALL others, no matter how unstable it makes the world's political climate.
Nice one, Johnny, nice one. Love your work.
Malkmus.

My brain went missing this weekend, so I haven't heard much about any of this.
But how 'free' is any Free Trade Agreement going to be? They still won't take our wheat or beef, and they'll still tax us to the shithouse for everything else we want to export over there, while strong-arming us and getting the concessions they want.

i saw something on the ABC (methinks...) where the town near Bush's ranch had adorned australian flags everywhere... yet when asked the name of our prime minister no-one had a clue!
australia's visibility in the scheme of things just isn't very prominent... despite johnny's best attempts.
