The first band up was Kraselna, bit poppy, pretty tight, but overall felt something missing from this band. Their sound was distinct, but they didn't seem to be firing on all cylinders this evening. Apparently they were a bit pissed off that they had to play first up, for it was Seshjuan who came on next, the second of three quality local bands playing at the tatts on the evening. Featuring grunted vocals which to me were slightly off putting, the songs are nevertheless original and well rehearsed, with some very groovy slap bass and original riffs, never coming off too monotonal despite the constant grunted frontman approach. Good stuff, and the best Ive seen em. Headliners Forte showed off their new material, with the album In a New Light being released recently. Havent heard the recorded version yet, but live they were bloody Huge. The new stuff is way up there with the high quality of their debut EP, with some truly monolith traCKs, some great rockin stuff and the usual HUGE sound of their stacks keeping my ears ringin till the early hours of this morning. Bloody oath!

I believe Forte will be playing with their label-mates Brace (ex-Henry's Anger) in Sydney.
I went and saw Forte last night at the Waterloo in Brisbane with support from Bobsledge - VERY AWESOME night! ;D

Bob Sledge are coming down here in a fortnight, can't wait to catch them again, very cool band.
Edit: I saw Brace when they supported the Deftones, and after hearing all these good things about them, and loving Henry's Anger when I saw them a few times, was very dissapointed.

I'm yet to see Brace - I was also a big HA fan when they were still together! Bobsledge played really well - they sounded a lot cleaner with just the one bass player.

A bass player left? They sounded huge with the two bass players, although it was a bit ineffectual. Is that even a word? I'm tired.
