Awesome gig. Got there early (8:55) and despite my early arrival I'd still missed the first Cockfight Shootout track (fuck it!) Anyhow the shootout were great, seriously crankin tunes which would make for some awesome driving music. Everything is right about this band, great vocals, cool riffs and the drummer throws in some cool blasts every now and then which sounds cool as and adds interest. Cant wait for the next shootout gig. Ah yeah , and nice ta meet ya Slatts.
Some band called Fort Mary were on next - I was too busy talkin shit and pretty much completely missed em, although they were very out of place with this line up of bands.
Holster were up next, and they sucked, Baaaaaahahah just kiddin J or Cheesecake if ya's read this hahah. I think Holster had been rehearsing a bit since their last gig and it showed, a much tighter set, Cheesecake pretty much used every fret on his bass (even them dusty ones up top hehe) and Holster was generally having a good time up there and us dudes watching were getting into it. Stand out track for me was Motor Show.
Stiff Meat finished the night off with a punishingly brutal set of some of the mightiest riffs you are ever gonna hear. The Stiffies were on their best form ever, tracks like "I wanna fuck your girlfriend and your car's a piece of shit" and "Hose her down" are riff extravaganza's of the highest order and really showcase the amazing songwriting talent these guys have. Lookin forward to this friday night to see The Stiffies playin with Blood Duster and The Dwarves - its gonna be a killer fer sure.

Can Stiff Meat be any louder? I've decided that I can never see Stiff Meat again without earplugs, I mean fuck I went to the ACDC concert without earplugs and felt fine. I used to feel tough (Although I'm actually just stupid but until the Stiffies came along at least I thought I was tough) but now I cower in fear when the Stiffies hit the stage. All shit talkin aside, it was an awesome gig - Holste/Stiff Meat = fucken awesome, Fort Mary = severely out of place!
