I missed most of knaw so i wont say much about them, apart from it didn't sound like the crowds cup of tea.
Cog played a good set which to me started really well but about halfway through went down a notch. Still a damn good performance and the new tracks sound pretty good. Lucious the drummer looked like a crazed clown but boy can he play! It was interesting to see flynn with the beanie off too, looks less like a catfish. Opened with moshiach, ended with moo.
The mark of cain have been a long favourite of mine and they have never disapointed. Again tonight was a great set and good to see them at a smaller venue. John Stainer on drums definitely rounds out this band and i hope he stays on with them and continues the juggling act. I'm pretty sure after this tour he heads off to the states to tour with Tomahawk.
The sound was great as usual especially in Contender. I think they opened with second hander and finished with the typical contender, point man encore. For the first time tonight i heard cut em down live and it went down well with me especially johns little drum solo. If you get a chance to catch these guys on this tour do so because they don't tour that often and are a powerful live act.
On a side note i managed to pick up a black rollins band/mark of cain tshirt from last year. Anyone seen this before? I got the only one they had luckily.
