The following review appeared in The Age EG 30/8/02:
Stiff Meat Introducing Stiff Meat 4.5 out of 5
Melbourne's music scene has long needed a band like Stiff Meat to come along and crank it up a notch. Their debut EP, Introducing Stiff Meat, wears it's stoner-rock influences proudly, the band showing us they're ballsy without being cock-rock (though their lyrics are full of references to male genitalia) and stoner in the Fu Manchu kind of way. There's even a bottled-metal sound reminiscent of The Melvins. What's more, these guys know how to meld a heavy riff with a cheeky lyric and keep metal as relevant as it was to hard-core followers in the early 90's. The single, Your Hole Is My Goal, opens with the sounds of a woman about to orgasm, breaks into a smoky metalfest, but predominantly remains true to the stoner-couch sound. Your Car's a Piece Of Shit and I Wanna Fuck Your Girlfriend is a fast, furious mix of heavy metal that pays tribute to solo guitars and keeps up the foul-mouthed barrage. Produced by Bloodduster's Jason P.C., Introducing...shows it's OK to have sex on the brain and metal on your side.

Gday Baz - must tell you that it was funny seeing Youngy and Tim from Stiffies standing outside of Coles in Geelong on Saturday morning, obviously still very pissed and not having had any shuteye, having a good ol laugh that their cd was reviewed in The Age and that the review was actually pretty cool.
By the way - from what I saw I strongly recommend that if booking into the Barwon Caravan Park you do not check into caravan 3........hehehe
