Alright, anyone listened to this yet??
Everyone seems to be cracking fats over it on sr.com, is it as good as the hype?

Its rockin but too short. I dont reckon any of the songs are mindblowing at all either, its pretty much just plain ol good music, but is made much the better for having JG's vocals all over it

Yeah I definitely agree it is to short, pretty cool but goes nowhere near topping Slo Burn as John's best post Kyuss outfit.

I think the full length UNIDA beats the slo-burn ep hands down...

I think timing of when you first hear a release is very important and for me when I first heard Slo Burn it made a big impact on me, when the Unida disc came out it was more just amongst a bunch of other releases and didn't have such an impact although it is a great disc.
It may be a big call but I was talking about this to someone last night and called Slo Burn one of the greatest ep's ever released in my opinion.

I hear ya on the Slo Burn Jeb. Definately best EP ever. Not a moment on that thing could be done better. Dunno if I'll ever hear Hermano cause I refuse to spend $35 for 28 minutes of music that I'm not sure is that good anyway. Don't know anyone who will either.

...FUCK YOU CAN ALL SHOOT ME DEAD RIGHT NOW!!!...whew, I'm sure glad you knew I was kidding. I haven't heard Slo Burn yet either but I heard Jeb make the call as best e.p. ever. I want comment because I havent heard it yet but I think I'm going to have to....Man this life I have chosen is never going to end there just doesn't seem to possibly be any way for me to hear all of the cool shit that I need to, but I fucken tell ya I'm going to try pretty bloody hard to...

;D. You bet I've got a working turntable, I've got two actually you can never have too many turntables. Yes please I would love to hear this e.p. It doesn't have an elephant on the cover does it. I seem to remember young Gregory giving me a look at some vinyl he had one night when we were both too smashed to even talk properly. I nthe morning all I could remember were elephants. Kind of like that trip that some guy at school lied to me about taking...Shesh! elephants. Just remembered I've still got your Shellac "Terraform" album, I think I'll tape it when this CD finishes so I can give it back to you and borrow Slo Burn. Yeah! More Rock! More Rock! More....

Did you ever hear any of the extremely lame material the other dudes in Slo Burn tried to press on with after Garcias departure?
I agree that it certainly is a very good ep - but I think it was just way too much of a "lets try to keep that Kyuss feel going", whereas Unida whilst having some similar elements definitely sounds like a different entity.

The SloBurn Ep is a classic, there's no dodgy filler tracks that seem to plague many Ep's. 35 beans does sound rather rich for 28 minutes so I guess I'll pass. Yeah Clint, who were the other dudes in Sloburn? Haven't heard of them before or since...

What was the dodgy Slo Burn continuation? I've never heard about it before. I'd be interested to hear it, even if it is crap.

i heard a few tracks in a record store the other day, (Cram rules!)
it seems solid, reminded me of the older unida stuff, the split with dozer kinda, perhaps a bit more polished sounding.
i agree tho clint theres nothing really earth shattering going on here.
i ended up buying the obsessed compilation which is the best thing ive heard in ages
